Himalayans were developed by breeding Persians to Siamese in the 1930s thus combining the Siamese point coloring with the Persian. All Himalayans have beautiful deep blue eyes. They are the most popular of all the Persians. This breed makes a gentle, but not inactive pet. Thei coats of these cats are beautiful, but they do require daily grooming to avoid matting.
