The Balinese is analogous to the Siamese except for coat length. The Balinese's coat is long, where the Siamese's coat is short-haired. The Balinese began to be bred in the 1940s. It is commonly accepted that the Balinese breed originated as a spontaneous long-haired mutation of the Siamese cat. This Balinese cat looks refined and majestic, but its personality is friendly and playful.
