Parrot Secrets: this eBook has saved more parrots than you can possibly imagine. This is a must for parrot owners.
The Amazon Parrot is relegated to the New World. It is sprinkled throughout the New World in South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands. Most are generally green, but they're often colored with complementary colors that depend upon the species. These colors are bright, vivid, and beautiful. All parrots, and all birds in the zygodactyl group in general, have two front toes and two back toes on each foot. They eat leaves, nuts, and fruits.
The Amazon Parrot is often kept indoors as as house pet. Amazon Parrots have vocal talents, maneuverability, dexterity, and fun spirits. They're like 2 year olds that last for 50 years. Caveats to consider are that they're aggressive during mating season, and they all require lots of care, observance, and devotion. Cats and dogs require less attention. Parrots need daily human interaction to assure that their intelligence and mood stays intact and maintained. They're very smart and adventurous in the wild. Inexperienced pet providers should not wrestle with parrots' demanding duties. Parrots require a lot of interesting pursuits and intriguing and stimulating activities to keep them from feeling bored and causing trouble to their playmates or companions. Amazons typically chew lots of wood so they need to be given lots of toys to quench this native urge to chew.
The Yellow-billed Amazon, White-fronted Amazon, Red-crowned Amazon, Blue-fronted Amazon, and Puerto Rican Amazon are all examples of different-colored Amazon Parrots. There are several dozen Amazon Parrots to look at online. View them online and satisfy your visual stimulation urges before forking over cash and spending a lifetime with the Amazon. They're amiable and friendly companions. Stimulus, attention, and devotion are the prerequisites of successful parrot ownership. It's best if the birds are bred by hand from Aviary bird parents. Amazons undergo training quite well. They're great talkers too. Behavioral problems can, and will, result from lack of stimulus and social pursuits.
The Amazon Parrot makes a lot of noise, and it's a good breeder that lays 2 to 4 eggs for each incubation period. The incubation period lasts 29 days. This parrot does absolutely fine with Conures. Yapping, chewing, screaming, nipping, and other problems can arise, regardless of the Parrot's upbringing. Different life stages, including mating, present significant hurdles and challenges. Parrots will chew through electrical wire if they're untrained and undisciplined. Interestingly, parrots will use their beaks as a method of disciplining their owners. Don't mistreat rescued birds that require your loving care and attention. These parrots will chew on things to relieve stress. Some Amazons can present an annoying problem. Between 5 and 12 years of age, the Amazon goes through intense hormonal disruption due to mating.
Humans should recognize when an Amazon Parrot does not want to be touched. Flared feathers and pinned eyes are a couple signals. Amazon Parrots do well with experienced pet owners, but they're not great for novice bird owners because of their eccentricities and duties.
