The groups of finches are numerous, some of them are exotic. Mostly, they are small songbirds with short stout typically conical bills adapted for crushing seeds and a proportionately long tails. Finches vary with colors, shades, and patterns to create a dazzling array of beauty. Small and easy to care pets, they require finch seed and fresh water daily, another finch companion, and a nice cage away from drafty opening, kitchens, and family activity. A finche's lifespan is 4-8 years.
