The Amazon Parrot is relegated to the New World. The Amazon Parrot is sprinkled throughout the New World in South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands. Interestingly, Amazon Parrots will use their beaks as a method of disciplining their owners. Don't mistreat rescued birds that require your loving care and attention. These parrots will chew on things to relieve stress. Some Amazon Parrots can present an annoying problem. Between 5 and 12 years of age, the Amazon goes through intense hormonal disruption due to mating.

Humans should recognize when an Amazon Parrot does not want to be touched. Flared feathers and pinned eyes are a couple signals. Amazon Parrots do well with experienced pet owners, but they're not great for novice bird owners because of their eccentricities and duties.
