The head of these ornamental birds is small with a strong bill. Their neck is relatively long and the legs are long. Males weigh 9-13 pounds and females are smaller, they weigh 6-9 pounds. They live approximately 18 years in the wild. The peacock throne is not exactly the place to see the chicks or birds; visit a zoo for that.
