There are very few representatives of this species left in the wild and zoologists have been unsuccessful in breeding them in captivity up to now. They are only found in a relatively small area in Asia. The lifespan of this species is about 25 years. It is prohibited to keep a baby panda bear as a pet; a baby panda and sometimes several babies are born in the zoos.
