Norwegian Elkhound training usually begins from birth by the breeder or kennel it was born at. These are hardy gray hunting dogs. In appearance they are typical northern dogs of medium size and substance and square in profile. The dog’s head is broad with prick ears. The tail is tightly curled and carried over the back.
