Horses with such a disorder should be euthanized, as it is incurable. Horses may carry the genetic mutation and if two carriers are bred, 25% of their offspring will be ill with JEB, 50% will be carriers and 25% will be free of this mutation. To buy foals, visit a farm and ask for a photo.
