Also called Cougar, Panther, Puma, Painter, Catamount.
Females give birth to one to two cubs in a litter. The kittens are born blind and open their eyes 10 days after birth. The newborn young have heavily spotted coat for the first three months of their life. Kittens are raised only by females.
