A cougar mountain lion sometimes raids a farm to find food for the baby.
These wild cats have several other common names, such as pumas, panthers and catamounts. They occupy a variety of habitat from coastal swamps to mountain slopes. They are territorial animals. These cats mark their home range by depositing urine or fecal materials by trees marked with scrapes.

In spite of their terrifying look and long canine teeth, these carnivores also have anomies in the wild. They may be preyed on by bears, wolves and even by other representatives of the species.
