These beautiful and massive chickens are favourites for country estate. The Brahmas of traditional colours: Light or Dark are fairly good at egg laying. Despite their large size the eggs they lay are really no larger than from most other large fowl.

They are great favourites with children and adults because they are tender, easy to tame, and will readily follow you around. In case you keep them in a multi free-range environment, look out for the other cockerels not bullying the Brahmas, as, though large, they are more submissive birds.
