Cuban Red Macaw


The cuban red macaw species was wiped out by men; there are no longer chicks for a breeder to raise. The majority of parrots belonging to the genus Ara live near equator in Central and Southern America, Africa and nearby islands. There are about 30 known species of these parrots, but perhaps there are more of them in remote areas.
