Iceland Horse

  -

foals, baby

This breed descended from animals taken to the Iceland by the Vikings from northern Scandinavia and the British Isles. In the 10th century the importation of any more horses was banned to prevent diseases, so this breed originated from a small gene pool. Iceland horse foals, like any other horse baby, require care and training.
