Hovawart Dogs
Hovawart dogs, like all purebred dogs, should be obtained from reliable kennels.
The breed is rather versatile – such hounds can trail lost people or culprits, find objects, rescue people, take part in obedience and tracking, participate in hunting and be loving family companions. Their life span is rather short – 7-10 years, as with all large breeds.
Hovawart dogs, like all purebred dogs, should be obtained from reliable kennels.

The characteristic feature of these dogs is loose skin forming large folds around the neck and face. The ears are very long; the eyes are small and deep sunken, with the lower eyelid pulled down. The neck is long to allow the dog to follow a trail without tiring. Hovawart dogs, like all purebred dogs, should be obtained from reliable kennels.
