Placing Ads:
-
Why should I place Ads?
- In order to place a FREE classifieds Ad, you must first
register as a new user. This takes about 2 minutes.
Your e-mail address will become your username which you will use to login
to your account in the future.
- If you are interested in selling a pet (for a price) or
finding a home for a pet (giving it away), consider placing a FREE
classifieds Ad. If you are giving a pet away, just select
"For Sale" when you place the Ad and put "0" for the price.
Since placing an Ad is FREE, you can place a separate Ad for
each puppy in the litter. Each puppy is his own person (as most puppies would
agree) and deserves his own Ad! But please
only place one Ad per individual pet.
- You can also place
FREE
"Want Ads"
if you want to let
visitors know that you are looking for a particular pet. Or, you can place
a FREE Ad if you have "Lost Your Pet" or if you
have "Found a Pet" or if you have a pet "For Stud."
You should get an excellent response to your Ad!
- The Administrator must activate your Ad before it is visible;
this may take 24-48 hours. After approval, any changes made
to your Ad will temporarily inactivate your Ad
until the Administrator approves it again.
- If are unable to see the "Place Ads" button, then make sure you do not have
"ad blocking" enabled on Norton's Firewall Internet Security software. If you cannot
click on or see some links on GotPetsOnline.com, it may be because your
Norton Firewall Internet Security software is set by default to NOT display
certain links that it considers ad-related. This applies only to users
of Norton Internet Security products, not to users of just the Norton
Anti-Virus products. We recommend disabling this feature in order
to properly view GotPetsOnline.com. In your Norton Internet Security
options, go to Ad Blocking and turn it OFF. This will allow you to
see banner ads and other links on Web pages that Norton blocks by
default. Leave the POP-UP blocker ON.
- To make changes to your existing Ads: Login,
My Profile, Manage my Ads, and then Edit
the Ad you wish to change.
- You will have the option to renew your Ad once it is near the time of
expiration for that Ad. You
will be sent an E-mail alerting you of this situation. Early renewal is not available.
- Be sure to read our advertising
Guidelines and
Advertising Summary.
