These animals are very solitary, and they move singly. It is not recommended to keep two species within a single apartment. Fights between males can be extremely cruel. Mating is the only time when two species can be seen together.

They are very easy-going and gentle in appearance, having soft and furred belly, pointed muzzle and characteristic beady and glimmering eyes. Many people find them very manageable and undemanding.
