The havanese dog is amoung the group of dogs known for barking, but breeders say they can be taught not to.
They may live in an apartment, as they have moderate exercise needs and do okay without a yard. The breed needs daily walks to keep fit and play. Owners and breeders state that these pets are the favorites of the family and do well with children and other pets.

Havanese Dog -

Also called Bichon Havanais.
They live for 14-15 years on the average and may be prone to PRA, cataracts, luxating patellas, poodle eye and dry skin. Some dogs are said to be great barkers, yet owners can easily teach them no to do so. The havanese dog is amoung the group of dogs known for barking, but breeders say they can be taught not to.
