These behaviors are believed to occur because of boredom, excitement, a hereditary behavior or perhaps a dietary deficiency. Overall, the species is healthy, yet it does suffer from some conditions such as vitamin C deficiency, respiratory infections, abscess, skin mites, overgrowth of premolar teeth, cystitis and bladder stones.
