These animals become sexually maturity at an early age, so the males should be separated from the females if not mating is planned. After the gestation period of 62 to 70 days, 2-5 babies are born. They weigh about 70-100 grams.

Delivery is not difficult, yet abortions in the case of an alarming incident are common. It is recommended to buy animals when they are at least 6 weeks of age.
