The Helmeted Guinea Fowl is considered the ancestor of all the domestic stock. The species feeds on a wide variety of insects and is known to eat the bees when standing outside beehives. The eggs are laid in April through May. Any bird breeder will be glad to offer the pictures of the chicks.
