Guinea Pig Pregnant

These animals possess very acute sense of hearing and hear sounds beyond the human limits. They soon become conditioned to sounds related to feeding. They can even have preferences in music; they also smell better than humans, but not as well as dogs. Cavies are herbivorous animals; they should always have a good daily supply of grass or hay. They should be fed with special mix, mash or cavy pellets. They should also have a daily supply of fresh fruit and vegetables in order to receive necessary amount of vitamin C.

Guinea Pig Pregnant -
photo, rodents
These are very sociable animals that are always ready to protect each other though the males are very aggressive in what concerns females. They recognize each other by smell. As for the eyesight, the eyes of the animals are mounted on the sides of the head, giving them a large angle of vision. Two males cavies can do well together if they are neutered and never in contact with females whereas the females would fight for status. Female cavy should be first bred before 7 months of age; otherwise, there can appear serious problems with delivery. After the gestation period of 63 days (that is rather long for rodents) one to six babies are born. A guinea pig pregnant photo looks similar to other rodents.
