Guinea Pig

Guinea pig pictures are sometimes taken by breeders. It is actually a common name for small rodents with short ears and without tails. The animals originated from South America, they still live there in the wild. The animals originated about 18 million years ago and in some countries the meat of these animals are thought to be healing as the animals themselves are thought to be mystical beings. In the wild, these animals usually breed once a year, although one species breeds continually throughout the year under good conditions. Their litters normally consist of two to four young, which are born in an advanced state of development and are able to feed themselves by nibbling foliage the day after birth.
