Guinea Pig Lifespan
A guinea pig lifespan is 4 - 7 years; some farms may have these little critters as part of the repertoire; find a picture of one at a cavy fan club.
In the wild these animals are more active during dawn and dusk, when it is difficult for predators to spot them. If frightened, they can run for cover with unexpected speed. In their wild state these animals live for 4-6 years, in captivity they can live up to 10 years. These are very intelligent animals and they are also very social. When a herd feeds, one animal assumes the duty of a guard. These animals are so intelligent they even can be trained to perform easy tricks.

Guinea Pig Lifespan -
farms, picture
These funny creatures get lonely living on their own in captivity. It means that they need a company. Buying a cavy, buy not only one animal, but, at least, a couple of animals. Do not buy animals of different sex, otherwise, soon, you will have much more cavies than you can handle. Two adult males who have always lived together can be fine. However, the best variant is - two sows or a neutered boar and sow. If you already have a sow, you may take a boar from a rescue centre, because many rescue centers usually neuter all of the boars that they get.
