Guinea Pig Information
guinea pig information will often include a photo of the animal and often photos of babies.
Being the common prey for all predators, these animals are always alert and ready to run away. There are 8 species of these animals, but only one is widely kept as a pet. These cute rodents are very popular pets because of their availability, docile temperaments, tendency not to bite or scratch when handled, and relatively clean habits. These are very intelligent animals and they can be taught to perform different tricks, but only when food is involved and with many repetitions. These animals are not very long lived and their average life span is from 3 to 7 years.

Guinea Pig Information -
photo, photos
In the wild, these rodents live in open, grassy areas. They use naturally protected areas or burrows, deserted by other animals, as shelters. They are sociable animals and tend to live in groups or herds. They are plant-eating animals whose diet consists mainly of grasses, roots, fruits and seeds. The animals when in the herd and the herd feeds leave one animal to guard all the rest. They usually forage in search for food in the late afternoon and early evening. The potty training of the animals is rather easy, because they consider the cage a safe place and will litter in the familiar territory. guinea pig information will often include a photo of the animal and often photos of babies.
