Guinea Pig Allergies
Some people do have legitimate guinea pig allergies; farms are a great place to get photos of animals; you're able to see them up-close and they're tame.
The signs of the allergy include itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose, persistent cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, a skin rash, and anaphylactic shock (a true medical emergency). If you noticed some of these signs you have to contact a doctor for examination and diagnosis. People who are allergic to the hair and/or dander of the species should avoid keeping these animals as pets. Presence of these creatures can be rather dangerous for people with such health problems. Before buying such a pet, you’d better consult an allergist to be sure that you can become a happy owner of a cavy.

When buying a cavy, it is recommended to find a veterinarian that treats exotic pets. It will be very useful, because if you think your animal does not fell well, you can make an appointment right away. Bear in mind that these small animals can get sick very quickly if left untreated. These animals like fresh vegetables like carrots, celery and beans and fresh fruits, such as apples or grapes. But don’t give them too many fruits or vegetables, because they can get diarrhea from too many. One or two small pieces of some fruit or vegetable a day is sufficient for a cavy.
