These dogs can be used for different purposes and are very popular nowadays. Their natural retrieving instinct and working abilities make them good hunters; their excellent sense of smell is used for narcotic and arson detection; their lovable nature makes the dogs good guides for the blind. Such dogs are also excellent at various shows and competitions and make good family pets. They are intelligent enough to outwit the owner and have a sense of humor; they are gentle, patient and very active. They cannot be guardians and are unlikely to attack intruders.
