Owners give up their dogs due to various reasons; for instance, allergies, divorce, death of the owner, a new baby arriving or financial difficulties. So, you have a chance to adopt a high quality dog, but the majority of such dogs have some problems. Often the owners have no time for the dog and cannot provide it with enough exercise and proper training, so the dog becomes aggressive, dominant, and destructive. Dogs with biting records cannot be adopted and are usually euthanised, as well as the dogs with incurable diseases.
