Most french bulldog breeders will have a photo of any available dog and also support the local rescues.
The history of the breed is very controversial. The ancestors of the present-day breed are the old dogs that lived in England 600-700 years ago and were depicted on the tombs and old drawings. Ancient dogs remind modern breed very much with the only one difference – those had more thick hair. It’s still argued whether these funny-looking creatures are a smaller version of the English type or they are a mixture with some other breed.
