Also called Swainson's Francolin, Red-Billed Francolin, Crested Francolin, Partridge, Hildebrant's Francolin, Erckel's Francolin.
The Black Francolin is well known in the United States and in Europe. Some of these species do well in captivity though they are also difficult to breed for the first time, as they are difficult to get used to living in captivity. Though, adult pairs of these birds live rather peaceful in aviaries. Chick classifieds help with the choice of a breeder and contain many photos.
