These beautiful birds produce rather unusual eggs; the eggs are rounded, khaki or coffee colored with small white spots. During the breeding season, both sexes can be aggressive, that is why it is recommended to place them separately.

Also called Swainson's Francolin, Red-Billed Francolin, Crested Francolin, Partridge, Hildebrant's Francolin, Erckel's Francolin.
In general, these birds are very well behaved and even if adult pairs are kept in very bare aviaries, they do not express aggression towards each other (except for breeding period.)
