Smooth Fox Terrier
The smooth fox terrier should receive training while they are young puppies.
They are 14-16 inches (36-41 cm.) high; the bitches are naturally smaller being 13-15 inches (33-38 cm.). The dogs weigh about 15-20 pounds (7-9 kg.) and the bitches weigh 13-18 pounds (6-8 kg.). The main health problems can be: deafness and epilepsy.

The dogs will do okay in an apartment if they are sufficiently exercised. They are very active indoors and will do okay without a yard where they can get enough exercise running around by themselves. The dog must be stripped several times a year and more frequently for show dogs. The smooth fox terrier should receive training while they are young puppies.
