They have thick and soft coat that forms featherings on the legs. The coat requires only a little bit of trimming and weekly grooming. It occurs in solid black or liver; the presence of any other color is a serious fault and must be penalized. A flat coated retrever photo should not be trusted much when you obtain purebred puppies.
