The pink flamingo will thrive under the care of knowledgeable breeders; an aviary is better suited for creatures that can fly. In the wild these birds can be found near any shallow-water lakes, ponds or protected inlets of the Mediterranean. These creatures can also be seen along the coast of Spain and southwestern France. The only place in France where they nest is the Camargue. The pink flamingo will thrive under the care of knowledgeable breeders; an aviary is better suited for creatures that can fly.
