Every puppy of non-breeding quality should be spayed or neutered in order not to spoil breed characteristics. Puppies should be placed in new homes at the age of 7-8 weeks and accompanied by a complete health and vaccination history. Field spaniels may not like the rescues; they appear happiest in pictures with friendly people.
