The smallest of all canines, these little mammals have very peculiar looks. Their most distinctive feature is their extremely large ears on a small head. The animal has a very bushy tail and thick fur. They can be found in Northern Africa, the Sinai Peninsula and Arabia and across the Sahara.

The animal blends with the desert sand, as it has cream to sandy yellow coloration with white "edges." Its tail is black tipped. The black whiskers are quite long. The canine’s eyes are very dark and large. Their behavior is much like that of dogs. A fennec fox photo will sometimes include babies.
