Exmoor Pony -
foal, photo
These creatures were mainly used as pack animals, carrying the tin from mines to the surrounding towns. When the mines closed, most of these animals were turned loose to roam the moor. Only few of these ponies were left by local farmers for use on their farms. An exmoor pony may be called a foal; a photo is a nice treat if you've never seen one.
