The grooming doesn't demand much skill and time due to the short coat. One of the disadvantages of the breed is a high level of shedding. These dogs also slobber and drool a lot, especially after eating and drinking. The breed is not overactive and prefers to live indoors. The major health problems are: hip dysplasia, poor eyesight, skin problems, heat strokes, chill, difficulty with breathing and with giving birth. These dogs can be prone to obesity. Their diet should be well balanced and should contain all necessary vitamins and minerals.
