Elk Population

The elk population may be diminishing in some areas; you can find a baby at specially licensed farms. The herds of these animals consist of females and their offspring. There are usually about 20-30 individuals in one herd. Adult males live along or in small male groups. These mammals spend much of their day seeking, eating and digesting food.
