American Elk
American elk photos may be surprising because the stature is so bulky; they are gigantic creatures; a farm may have two or more of them for breeding.
This animal is a cousin of the wapiti (Cervus canadensis) that is a large North American deer, which in turn is closely related to the Old World red deer. There are also several other species of the genus Cervus; these species are found in Asia and North Africa.
