Elk Hunts
Elk hunts may not yield anything except a photo; however, pictures are fun for conjuring memories.
The males reach sexual maturity at the age of 16 months and they rarely mate until the age of 2 years for there is high competition. The young that are born are cared for by a female and the young join the herd only in two to three weeks.

The herds of these animals consist of females and their offspring. There are usually about 20-30 individuals in one herd. Adult males live along or in small male groups. Only during the mating period males form harems of 20-30 females. Elk hunts may not yield anything except a photo; however, pictures are fun for conjuring memories.
