Irish Elk

The irish elk is an enormous, extinct creature; thus, you cannot see it's baby any longer; some farms may have other varieties of elk, however. The rutting season occurs from August until November; during this season the animals will tear apart shrubs and saplings with their antlers. In the fall, rutting bulls bugle or whistle as a challenge to other bulls. During this season bulls fight each other for the owning cows. The calves are born with spotted coats which camouflage them from predators. They use such defense strategy as lying still on the ground until danger passes.
