Females grow to aheight of 4 1/2to 5 1/2feet at the shoulder. An average height of males is one foot taller than females’. Bulls have large antlers with many tines. These animals are capable of breeding at 28 months of age.

Females reach sexual maturity around two years. One female usually give birth to one calf; two calve in a litter is very rare. The newborns are able to stand and walk in several minutes after birth.
