All ducks have webbed feet that are very good for swimming. Domesticated duck species have many economic uses. They are farmed for their meat, eggs, and feathers. All domestic ducks are descended from the wild Mallard, except the Muscovy Duck. Duck owners report that these birds are very quiet and undemanding, compared to other domestic birds. It happens that farmed ducks escape and become feral, attracted by migrating flocks of wild ducks.
