Duck Species
Breeders will educate one on the duck species, aviaries, and other birds kept as pets.
Mallards are distributed all over the world; they dominate in the Northern Hemisphere and are common in the USA. Both sexes have iridescent blue speculum on the wings. Males of this species are easily distinguished from the females by the green iridescent plumage on the head and neck. The female's plumage is drab brown. These birds breed in a year of age. Males leave females after mating and they have to incubate the eggs alone. The incubation period lasts for 26-28 days. When the ducklings hatch, the mother leads them to water and will never return to the nest. In autumn, these birds migrate in large flocks to warmer areas.

Duck Species -
aviaries, birds
These birds can survive in a wide variety of habitats, though they naturally need wetlands that produce much vegetation and aquatic insects. These birds are hunted and the hunters attract them with special whistles that remind the whistles of these birds. The length of these birds varies from 50 to 60 cm. (20.5 to 28 in.) These birds have long been domesticated and all domesticated birds of this class are descended from Mallards. Breeders will educate one on the duck species, aviaries, and other birds kept as pets.
