This breed was developed in Argentina in the 1920's. It was a mix of bloods of ten different breeds, including: the now extinct Dog of Cordoba, the Great Dane, Boxer, Spanish Mastiff, Bulldog, Bull Terrier, Great Pyrenees, Pointer, Irish Wolfhound and Dogue de Bordeaux.
