In 1947, after 20 years of a rigorous breeding and selection program the breed was introduced to the world in the Argentine magazine Diana. The author of the article was by Dr. Martinez who did the breeding. The article presented all the standards of the dog of a new breed. Most argentine dogo breeders will start training the puppies before they leave their kennel.
