Dog breeds, along with dog pictures, are one of the most interesting topics in the pet world. Books have been written about each one, and some books will try to cover briefly each of the different types of dogs. Dog breeds include small breeds, large breeds, hunting breeds, and various other breeds of dogs.

When choosing one of the dog breeds for one of your pets, choose from the dog breeds that will be suited to the environment in which it will live. It always helps to check around with people who know about the various types of dogs so that they can help you make a good decision. If it will live outside, or inside, in a wooded area, or a marshy area. Certain dog breeds do much better in a cold climate.
