The breed was actually started for the only one cat that that was found by Miss. Cox in Devonshire, England in 1960. These are medium framed cats that weigh about 8-10 pounds. These are very active, quiet cats that have hearty appetites and can easily get fat if not fed correctly.

The cats are of good dispositions and they are very people oriented and prefer being close to their owners. There are two most striking features of the breed that are: their curly coats and their pixie faces.
