There are three varieties of the breed: the short-haired, the wired-haired, and the long-haired. According to the coat length difference the dogs are different in size. Thus the standard size is about -18 inches (35-45cm.); the weight is 20 pounds (9kg.).

The smallest that is called miniature or the dwarf type is 14 inches (35cm.) high and weighs about 9 pounds (4kg.).
